John now in a tie for the most rookie points this season.

He is also the first rookie Calgary Flame to reach the 50 point plateau since the 1996 season.

he needs 17 pts over 14 games to crack the top 50 and 20 points to beat Calgarys Carey Wilson from the 84-85 season to hit the 36 spot on the top 50 all time best rookie seasons

Did I say he was on his way to setting an all-time record? I believe not. Did you know that hockey scoring is not as high as it was decades ago?

Part of the reason goals per season is down since the late 80's is due to bigger goalies and longer seasons. they have added almost 400 games a season since then, also teams have gotten weaker since those days as we went from i think it was 21 teams to 30 teams. Also thats when teams started doing the defensive zone trap.

Also you make him sound like he is the second coming of christ, even Sidney Crosby(a Canadian) had better pts than Your God in his rookie season lol

Well, for a guy the is barely 5 ft. 9 in and 158 lbs., that many believed would not even make the regular roster because of his size, he's doing pretty damn good to me.

I know for sure he has more NHL pts. than you do.

In fact, he is currently tied for 35th in the league, 1 ahead of the 8 million dollar man, Phil Kessel and 17 behind YOUR hero Sidney Conway. 3 pts. ahead of P.K. Subban.

Sidney isn't my hero lol and at 5'9 he is still taller that former flame Theo Fleury. Who was 5'6.

i think you need to check your math, Sidney Crosby is actually in 3rd place and 3pts ahead of a defenceman, thats like saying my player is 3 pts ahead of a goalie. Tho 50 Pts for a Defenceman is better than 50 pts for a forward lol.

Ok, he's 19 points behind the leader John Tavares who is a center. Point being, the league has changed and you are living in the 80's and 90's, just like your music.

Actually, I have been following hockey since the 80's, I may be behind in knowing all the "cool" and "hip" hockey names these days like Smith-Pelly, Desharnais, Schlemko. However I do know about players on the Sens, most of them, and the big Names like Tavares, Oveckin, Crosby, Jagr, Ignla, Quick, Rusk, Bishop(big name lmao) Chara(about as big as Bishop) Price. When the announcers were talking about Desharnais, I thought Desjardins was back for Montreal and the announcers had lisps.
