According to my gardening book:

The average "last frost" date for Timmins is June 8.

There is only a one in ten chance of getting a frost here after June 19.

The average "first frost" date for Timmins is September 6.

There is only a one in ten chance of getting a frost here before August 20.

Timmins has the shortest growing season of any city in Ontario and has one of the shortest of Canadian communities.

A friend of mine in Porcupine posted a photo of frost on his lawn and vehicle. Another friend delayed his game of golf due to frost.
