Sorry, my mistake. Somebody was complaining to me about him working for Goldcorp. I don't remember council making many big decisions about Lakeshore so it's all good then in my opinion.

OPP say Highway 11 is closed just west of Cochrane due to what is being termed a "serious vehicle collision."

Hwy 11 completely closed from Hwy 101 to Hwy 655 (open to local traffic only). Detour northbound via Hwy 101 to Hwy 655 back to Hwy 11. Duration unknown. Updated as of January 16, 2015 at 10:05.

ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE

IROQUOIS FALLS – Members of the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 11, Clergue Township at approximately 9:12 a.m. on January 16, 2015.

The collision involved a southbound pick-up truck and a northbound tractor trailer.

The single occupant of the pick-up truck, Roger Michael LAMBERT, 57, of Iroquois Falls, was confirmed dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Jan Betlej, 55, of Lockport, Manitoba, and his passenger, Miroslaw Haczkur, 55, of Winnipeg, Manitoba were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with this ongoing investigation.

Iroquois Fire Department and Timmins Ambulance Service both attended the scene.

Highway 11 has been closed in both directions at Highway 67 and Hwy 655.

The estimated duration of road closure is unavailable at this time.

Please do not call the OPP Provincial Communications Centres for road advisory updates or road condition information.
