For Timmins that's actually pretty good for sales.

I've said it before, Timmins is a last-minute kind of town for tickets to anything. You'll see more tickets sold in June than any other time.

What's losing a couple of million in taxpayer's money when you consider the fun that will be had?

Notice Miller Paving inside the ballpark area yesterday with large equipment moving sand around filling holes and grading, there paying more attention to this park then the rest of the potholes around the city, don't make any sense.

I remember when they paved that parking lot back when I was a a little kid. There were speed bumps too I think.

Looks about as crowded as Donald Trump's inauguration. I wonder if the mayor will claim it was the best attended ever. Although maybe the photo was taken in the afternoon and there were more people in the evening I hope?

That makes sense. A lot of people don't go until around 7pm. I've been hearing that attendance for the first few days has been higher this year compared to last year.

Yikes, hope everyone got out ok in Timmins, they cancel the fireworks soon after this event.

There was a fire at the top of the berm then a firework got launched in the direction of Food Basics where people were sitting, fire crews and ambulance were on the scene.

" The finance department will require some time to calculate the final numbers but based on my tracking I estimate the cost of this festival will be between $1.6 Mil and $1.8 Mil. (again unofficial and finance will provide the final accurate numbers shortly). Some will ask what that means per tax bill. If you divided it among all tax bills equally it would be about $90 per tax bill."
