POWER Outage / Blackout Reports - tT official thread

Also hope no one needed to call the local Taxi monopoly today - apparently they have not had phone service now for 7 hours and counting. And i am sure that at the start of the month and right before a holiday weekend lots of people needed a cab! (or was Vets smart enough to send some cabs over to A1 for the day?)

You can't just send cabs from one company to another with a snap of a finger. for one main reason is the 2 way system is on different channels. you physically have to take the vehicle to spectrum and have them change the 2 way.

Get clocks that run on batteries...problem solved.

SoPo and Porcupine used to go through that every week for about 10 years. At least until 2013 sometime.

Noticed that my oven's clock is flashing. Power flickered or surged downtown today. At work my workstation light flickered and about half the computers in our room restarted.

There could be a power outage here due to the current ice storm.

Power is currently out at down Langmuir Road, at Star Lake, Ivanhoe Lake/Foleyet, Gogama, Ramore, Matachewan, Elk Lake. More reports likely to come in.

Many power outages across the region including certain parts of Timmins. I was sent home from work early today. Power is still on in Melrose!

I heard the power was out at the square today. Must be funny to watch the last minute shoppers!
