That is great for Cochrane! So hard to believe it is opening there with a much smaller market size than Timmins. Then again, maybe the franchise cost wasn't as much?

Timmins doesn't have a franchise because a) the parent company insists that the franchisee be local and b) that the franchise be located in the Timmins Square parking lot. A couple of locals have looked into it, but the location is a deal breaker. No one wants to own a building on leased land, especially at the rates charged by the Square (it's one of the reasons previous owners had a hard time making a go with Montana's). A couple of out of town investors were willing to comply with the conditions associated to location, but the parent company wouldn't approve their application because they don't reside in Timmins. The rationale is a local owner will pay more attention to quality control.

I had heard all of that but wasn't sure if it was true or not. It does make sense as to why it hasn't been built. The Square location is definitely the best location for it but I certainly understand the costs for the franchisee being higher.
