Does anyone know of a good roofing company? We had ice dams on our roof this winter which led to leaks. We will be changing the shingles, some boards and we need to correct the insulation problem.

About 5 years ago had Prudent Roofing do our house and they did an excellent job. In fact Prudent said he did our house when it was built and then he and his helpers did it again 25 years later. We were out of town when it was done and got home the next day to a new roof and everything was very tidy and other than the roof and vent pipe you couldn't tell that they were there. They also cut a couple large branches from our tree as part of the price which was a big bonus. I think we paid $5300 but the price of shingles has risen a lot lately because oil is used to make them.

You may have to book for 2-3 months from now but it's well worth it in my opinion.

We had Prudent come by to take a look, he doesn't do this kind of job anymore :(

I've dealt with Provost and McKee on commercial projects. I was extremely satisfied with both. On one project, Provost left money on the table by telling us a section of roof appeared to be newer than the rest and other than a patch around a drain, we could probably get another 10 years out of it. The rest of the roof was replaced and we saved about $10,000 by not having to replace the one section.

Family of mine will be getting McKee to do their roof sometime in the next couple of months. I'll report their experience on here and remind me if I forget.
