Kiya Pilon is celebrating her 15-year-old sister Jada Pilon, who has been working at Metro six days a week since the pandemic began.

"She controls the flow of the people allowed in the store to ensure safe social distancing and limits the amount of people allowed in the store, and even though she is called names, and has been disrespected a few times, she holds her ground to ensure everyone’s safety and still always comes home with a smile. Her hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and she makes me one proud sister!"

TimminsToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
